Theater on the Weekends
A few years ago I realized that on certain days theaters sell tickets for a much cheaper price. Since I am an avid movie-goer, this was amazing news. Basically before noon on weekends, most theaters have a deal where they sell morning tickets for half the price. I had always believed that this deal was only available at this one specific theater because it was a bit smaller than the others. However, I recently discovered that one of the most glamorous theaters does that same deal at the same time. No kidding, this place was built recently and is enormous. So yeah, check around your neighborhood for places like this; it's amazing!! Also, some people asked if it this only applies to theaters that feature movies that began screening a few months earlier and in my experience, the answer is no- the discount includes all movies, including the ones that were released on the same weekend. So hope you learned something new and stay tuned :)

Cutting My Hair Short?
As I'm sure most people are, I get super nervous when it's time for me to cut my hair. As ridiculous as it sounds, because it grows back eventually, it takes a lot for me to trust a hair stylist. So, it's usually rare for me to go to a foreign stylist for a trim. The thing is, trims are exactly the reason why we, at least I, have a distrust towards unfamiliar stylists. There were several incidents where I went in for a little trim of about an inch or two and left with about a third of my hair gone. I had found a stylist a few years ago through recommendations, but after leaving to another city, it became difficult to return to her. So now my search begins once more.
This time I've decided to do a bit out of my comfort zone and head over to colleges. I know, it seems a bit absurd that I am looking for students to style my hair, but hear me out. I've met several people with flawless hair and upon asking them, I've discovered that they head over to these beauty colleges for a touch-up. True, the students might mess up, but according to customers, their teachers watch over the entire process. Thus, in a way, this is better than heading over to salons because the teachers are professionals who teach others daily. But that's not the only bonus; these beauty colleges offer a less expensive service as well.
So I'm looking for one of these schools. I'm honestly a bit excited because of all the comments about finding the perfect hairstyles at these places. But the only warning is to find one with students who are passionate about what they are doing, otherwise they can totally mess up your hair. If you had any experiences with these places, please leave a comment below, I'd love to hear about it!!

Lychee
A few years ago I discovered this curious fruit-lychee. But until last year I didn't try it out because to be honest, it looked a bit funny. It has a thick pointy outer layer that covers the white edible part inside. I've seen some that are green, but I go for the ones that are red. So once you peel off the red layer, you can eat the inside. But just be careful not to eat the pit inside. Just toss it out along with the peel. It is absolutely delicious. I'm not sure how to describe it though. It has the taste of all exotic fruits, yet it's unique. It's extremely sweet and juicy. So I highly recommend it! I could explain all the benefits to eating lychee but it would take a ton of time and I'm sure you'll be bored so I'll skip that part. This is a mini post, but I hope it has introduced you to another amazing fruit! Thanks for staying till the end and have a great day ;)

Rolled Oats Face Mask
Over the years, I realized that the only face masks that I actually want to buy are the ones that smell like heaven or the ones that peel off. So that's what I decided to do because it's close to impossible for me to replicate the exact same scent at home. I also felt a bit uncertain about creating the ones that peel off. But besides those, I make almost every other mask by myself. One, because they're fun (in my opinion), and two, because it's a good way to use up the stuff that's left over in my kitchen. So this is about one of the masks I use in these circumstances. I always manage to find a bit of rolled oats at the bottom of my bag. It's not enough for breakfast and it's too much to throw away, so the first thing I do is use a blender to turn it into a powder consistency; I use the Nutribullet. Then I start adding things that I find. After reading several articles on ingredients that have properties to make your face look stunning, I usually add these things based on the condition of my face on that day. On this particular morning I added some honey and olive oil for moisture. The amount really depends, I don't really have a set measurement for everything. After around ten minutes, I wash off the mask any my face is left soft and glowing. I use this mixture whenever my skins feels a bit dry or under the weather. Good luck and cya later!!

Dying hair with Kool Aid
One of my friends had blond/brown colored hair. But in the bottom layers of her hair, she had these amazing red highlights. The trick? Kool Aid. Yeah a lot of people criticize it and say that it doesn't work at all or it fades away within a few days. But since the powder costs less than a dollar I tried it out. Basically you boil some water and add the color of your choice in and stir in a bit. Then empty into a container and dip your hair in. Since it was my first time (I used the cherry flavor), I was a bit skeptical. When I dried my hair off with some paper towels, it seemed that most of the color rubbed off. The colored water had turned from a dark red to a yogurt colored pink, though. Once I got in the shower, more of the coloring vanished down the drain. Once I got out of the shower I had no hope. Only a few stands retained the color.
BUT in the sun or in office-lighting, you can clearly see the color. No kidding, it's subtle enough that not everyone could notice it but once in a while, in the right lighting it looks amazing. So it's basically like a mirage. I tried it out because I figured it wouldn't damage my hair because it's edible. Overall, my experience with it is a 5 star. In case your wondering:
1. I used one package of the cherry powder on my first try and after around two weeks used two more packages.
2. For a more vibrant color, use more of the product (in my experience).
3. After around two washes, the smell of the Kool Aid no longer lingers in your hair.
4. It's been about a year, but the colors are still in my hair.
5. In some lighting my hair looks more like a deep purple than red.
Good luck and cya later!!

Catch-22
Summer has begun and I've started reading again. First book on my list is Catch-22 and after a week I finally finished it. It usually takes only a couple hours for me to finish mostnovels but for some reason classics take much longer. Anyways, Catch-22 began the same way most classics start out for me...I was bored to tears-literally. The only thing that kept me going were the reviews online; they all insisted that the acclaimed book was a comedy and a good laugh. However, even after finishing the book I can't really agree with that (the laughing part). But half-way through the book the protagonist and other characters became more relatable and I finished happily. It's not the average war novel and focuses more less on the fighting. I'll try to put no spoilers but the ending was definitely the best. Yossarian, the protagonist, did not disappoint the readers and brought the ending to a close with the right decision. Overall, I'm glad I read it. Once you get through the first half and keep track of all the characters, it's actually pretty good. I might even read it a second time. BTW, I'm not sure if this counts as cheating (in the literature world), but if I don't get a chapter I go on Shmoop or some other website and read their analysis. Just FYI. Thanks for reading this mini review and cya soon!!

Jurassic World Review
Since it's the summer, I have begun watching tons of movies again. Most recently Jurassic World caught my eye and OMG it was amazing. Hands down, it's one of the best movies of the summer. Spoiler alert-the dinosaurs escape. Haha, I'm just kidding, of course you knew that. But on a more serious note, I did have a problem with the scene where the engineered dinosaur escapes it's cage. According to its creators, it should be able to detect the nearby prey with its ability to "feel" temperature. However, the dinosaur is unable to discover Chris Pratt when he is subtly hiding underneath the car. Well, besides that, it was amazing and Blue is too cute-except when its trying to eat people; Blue is one of the velociraptors. I definitely recommend it; honestly, I would go watch it another time. Comment down below some movies to watch; cya later!!me. Thanks for reading this short clip and until next time!!
